Greg Richardson

Interim Deputy General Manager / Chief Financial Officer

Greg Richardson is the interim deputy general manager and chief financial officer. A certified public accountant, he monitors ATL’s nearly $1 billion annual budget and oversees the financing needs for ATLNext, the Airport’s capital improvement program.

Mr. Richardson began working for Hartsfield-Jackson in April 2011 after serving as the controller for the City of Atlanta from 2009 to 2011. He was named the interim assistant general manager for finance and accounting in April 2012, and he began serving in a permanent capacity in July 2013. He was named interim deputy general manager and chief financial officer in 2016.

Mr. Richardson has worked in accounting and finance for nearly 30 years. Before joining the City of Atlanta, he was the business segment controller for Norcross-based CheckFree Corp. Before his tenure at CheckFree, he was the chief accounting officer for Hobbs Group, LLC.

He started his career with RTM Restaurant Group in 1987 as a staff accountant and ultimately worked his way up to controller.

Mr. Richardson is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in accounting, and he recently attained designation as an International Airport Professional. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Georgia Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce.
