Myrna White

Director, Office of Public Affairs

Myrna White is director of the Office of Public Affairs. She is responsible for business units that manage government and community affairs, speakers bureau, Partners in Education, international affairs, web content and public relations (excluding media relations).

Ms. White began her aviation career leading information workshops in Airport area communities during the planning for construction of ATL’s fifth runway two decades ago.

Prior to her current position, she managed the Airport’s government affairs agenda.  It was in that post that she collaborated with state legislators to gain the Airport’s authorization to use commercial paper to fund important capital projects.

Ms. White also established the Airport’s Partners in Education program, exposing thousands of youth to the world of aviation. It is her leadership in the community that earned her acclamation resolutions passed by both the Georgia Senate and the House of Representatives.

A member of the Global Advisory Council for Clayton State University’s College of Business, she also serves as first vice president for the Arts Clayton Board of Directors and as a director with the Airport Area Chamber of Commerce.

She has received numerous honors, including being named Business Woman of the Year by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, the Celebration of Women Torch Award from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Atlanta Alumnae Chapter and was named Big Sister of the Year for Big Brothers/Big Sisters Inc. of Metro Atlanta.

Ms. White is a graduate of Leadership Fayette, Leadership Clayton and the Regional Leadership Institute. A graduate of the University of Georgia School of Journalism, she also completed the Emory University Executive Education Management Development Program and the Global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Accreditation Program.
