Hartsfield-Jackson marked the Valentine’s Day holiday in true Southern style – with a customer appreciation kickoff in the Domestic Terminal Feb. 7.

“This is the fourth year we’ve hosted this event to provide our guests with an entertaining, uplifting and memorable travel experience,” said Airport Senior Deputy General Manager Michael Smith to dozens of passengers and employees in the festively decorated atrium.

“We’re calling this our ‘We Love Our Guests’ campaign,” Smith continued.

“Because of your presence, Hartsfield-Jackson was recently named the world’s busiest airport for the 20th consecutive year, welcoming more than 103 million guests in 2017. This celebration is one small way in which we can express our gratitude,” Smith said.

Travelers can experience the “love” campaign through Feb. 14, including keychain and teddy bear giveaways and various musical performances. ATL’s Guest Relations division collaborated with ATL’s art program to offer themed, entertaining experiences.

During the kickoff, Papa’s People Band performed. A photo booth captured employees and travelers posing with Valentine’s Day-themed props. Cupcakes with heart sprinkles were distributed, and many smiles abounded as guests enjoyed the treat.

Smith said that guest feedback results in added amenities and services to improve the traveler’s experience at Hartsfield-Jackson every day.

“We are excited this week – and every week – to show our guests how much we appreciate them.”
