Anita Williams

Legislative Research and Policy Analyst

Anita Williams is the legislative research and policy analyst. She manages the legislative process to ensure the timely development, processing and passage of the Department of Aviation’s legislation by the City of Atlanta.

Ms. Williams has been advising the Airport general manager and staff on legislative topics since 2003. She also serves as liaison to Atlanta City Council members, conducting research in response to City Council requests as well as keeping the Mayor’s office informed on various issues, which include analyzing policies, identifying impacts, and coordinating responses.

Ms. Williams joined the City of Atlanta in 1992. In providing a link between elected officials and the public, she often serves as a representative to interface with constituents, organizations, City departments and committees as directed.

The Douglasville, Georgia native earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Mercer University with a concentration in public relations.
