Diana Léon Brown

Airport Deputy General Manager, Marketing and Air Service Development

Diana Léon Brown is deputy general manager of Marketing, Air Service Development, and International Affairs (MASDi) at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the world’s busiest and most efficient airport. She leads a broad portfolio responsible for global marketing, international partnerships, air service development, passenger engagement, and strategic brand positioning. Her work helps shape how more than 100 million travelers experience ATL each year while advancing Atlanta’s reputation as a leading global gateway.

Léon Brown is a seasoned executive, marketing strategist, and global thought leader with more than two decades of experience driving innovation, economic development, and organizational transformation across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. She earned an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University, an M.S. in Statistics and an MBA in International Business from The George Washington University School of Business.

A visionary leader known for bringing innovation to the airport industry, Léon Brown has championed initiatives that redefine the passenger experience and elevate ATL’s global brand. Under her leadership, the Airport has expanded experiential marketing programs, strengthened international relationships, and launched transformative projects that blend technology, storytelling, and customer engagement. Most notably, she spearheaded the development of ATLAS, the first digital sphere of its kind in a U.S. airport, creating a dynamic communications platform and memorable passenger experience in the heart of the Airport.

Prior to joining ATL, Léon Brown served as chief of staff & head of External Affairs at Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), executive director of the Artem Leadership Institute, where she designed and led international leadership development programs in partnership with organizations including the United Nations, the Organization of American States, and the Women’s Global Initiative. Her work spanned multiple continents and focused on developing leaders capable of creating meaningful impact in business, government, and civil society.

A respected executive, speaker, and mentor, Léon Brown is frequently invited to speak on leadership, marketing innovation, international affairs, economic development, women’s leadership, and organizational transformation. Throughout her career, she has remained guided by a simple philosophy: “Do good, while doing well.” Through that lens, she continues to create opportunities, cultivate partnerships, and lead initiatives that deliver both measurable results and lasting impact.
