Paschal’s Famous Peach Cobbler

PASCHAL’S (CONCOURSE B)

Ingredients & Directions

Try adding this sweet southern treat to your menu this holiday season! 

Filling 

lbs peaches (fresh or canned) 

2 cup sugar 

1/4 cup vanilla 

1/2 tbsp nutmeg 

1 stick butter 

1/2 cup cornstarch 

1/2 cup ice cold water 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Combine all ingredients,bring to aboil and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. 
  3. Mix cornstarch and water untilcombined, then slowly pour into peachesuntil thickened. 

Crust 

1 cup flour 

1 tbsp sugar 

1 tsp salt 

1/4 cup of shortening 

1 cup water 

1 cup ice   

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. Add shortening in pastry blender and mix until coarse crumbles form.
  3. Combine ice and cold water. Pour water only into mixture, not letting ice chunks fall into mixture. 
  4. Form dough into a ball then roll out and place over peaches. Brush dough with butter and sprinkle with sugar. 
  5. Bake 35to45 minutes at 350 degrees is topping is brown. 

Optional: Refrigerated or frozen pie crust.
