“Grab” and Go! Touchless Ordering Lands at ATL

By Alnissa Ruiz-Craig

Ordering something to eat while traveling through ATL just got easier and more convenient. Simply by using your phone and an app, you can order your meal and it will be ready and waiting for you without ever having to stand in a line or pull out your wallet. How cool is that?
This new technology in brought to you by global hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North. Partnering with food and beverage e-commerce platform, Grab, Delaware North installed some of the first Grab virtual kiosks in any U.S. airport right here at ATL. You can find them at Grindhouse Killer Burgers, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Mustard Seed BBQ.
As we all adjust to our new normal, particularly while traveling, I think it’s safe to say we are all making sure to take special care of ourselves. Which is why the benefits of the new Grab kiosks are twofold: they are both convenient and time-saving as you move through the Airport, in addition to being a great way to ensure social distancing. Win-win! And as I consider myself the ultimate multitasker, this is a perfect way for me to make the most out of using my phone (it’s usually glued to my hands).

How does it work?

Start by scanning a QR code from a sign at the participating location. This will take you to a digital menu where you can place your order and pay, all from your personal device. You never have to stand in line, interface with a cashier, or exchange cash or card.
