Hartsfield-Jackson Prepares for Holiday Travel Season
New South Security Checkpoint substantially complete ahead of schedule
ATLANTA—As the holiday travel season kicks off, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) and its partners want to ensure that travelers are prepared.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, passengers will encounter enhanced safety measures and guidelines, new TSA requirements, as well as a greater amount of travelers – all of which could impact efficient travel.
ATL will also reveal its new South Security Checkpoint. When fully operational, the new checkpoint will expand ATL’s capacity from four lanes at this site to nine.
