Hartsfield-Jackson Launches ATL Apprenticeship Program
New program offers paid on-the-job training and mentorship for adult job seekers and high school students
ATLANTA – Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens will join Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) officials and partners to officially launch the inaugural ATL Apprenticeship Program. In partnership with the Georgia Department of Labor, Atlanta Technical College, and the Technical College System of Georgia, this ATL program was created as a call to action to address the gap of skilled tradespeople in Airport operations. It will offer a unique, paid opportunity for selected job seekers, current employees and high school student participants to “earn while they learn” with work-based training and one-on-one mentoring from an ATL Department of Aviation employee.
