Hartsfield-Jackson and The Arc Collaborate to Host 2024 Wings For All
Special event serves as air travel rehearsal for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities
ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), in collaboration with The Arc of the United States, SHINE Inc., The Arc of Thomas-Grady Counties, and Delta Air Lines, is pleased to announce the return of Wings for All, a unique program offering an air travel rehearsal for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Wings for All, a program of The Arc of the U.S., provides participants with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the air travel experience, From entering the airport, obtaining a boarding card, going through TSA security, and boarding the plane (which does not take off). This event aims to alleviate the stress and anxiety often associated with air travel for individuals and families living with IDD.
