Mayor Andre Dickens Hosts 10th Annual Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway

Registration now open for annual race to benefit Atlanta-area college students with scholarships

ATLANTA – Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens will join Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) Interim General Manager Jan Lennon to host the 10th annual Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway, welcoming up to 2,000 runners early on Saturday, Oct. 5. This race offers participants the rare opportunity to run or walk on ATL’s 5th runway — one of the flattest and fastest courses in Greater Atlanta. The Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway also serves as a USATF-certified 5K course/AJC Peachtree Road Race qualifier. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program, helping students overcome financial worry and lingering debt concerns, which in turn builds a strong foundation for future career success and wealth building.

Registration is now open. For more details and registration, please visit www.atl.com/5k.
