Hartsfield-Jackson Receives Plane Train Cars in Fleet Upgrade
The new vehicles will enhance reliability and support ATL’s Plane Train extension
ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has received the first of its new INNOVIA APM (automated people mover) 300R cars from Alstom, marking a significant advancement in the modernization of the Airport’s transit system. The new vehicles are engineered with energy-efficient features and lightweight aluminum bodies, reflecting ATL’s commitment to sustainability, safety, and innovation. This will be an opportunity to tour the new model that will enter service in 2026.

ATTENTION: Media must arrive by 9:30 a.m. to facilitate the security screening at Gate 40. Because this is a post-security event, those who RSVP (media@atl.com) must submit their full name, gender, and birthdate for screening. Additionally, those arriving in personal vehicles must provide the license tag number, make, and model. Parking spaces beyond Gate 40 will be available.
