Hartsfield-Jackson Awarded ACI Airport Health Accreditation

ATL recognized for prioritizing health and safety measures

ATLANTA – To further bolster safety at the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) received accreditation in the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Health Accreditation program. The program provides airports with an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and ICAO Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations, along with industry best practices.

The accreditation enables airports to demonstrate to passengers, employees and the general public that they are prioritizing health and safety in a measurable, established manner. It also reassures the traveling public that these airports are maintaining safe and hygienic facilities.

“At Hartsfield-Jackson, our dedicated staff works hard each day to ensure that we are implementing best practices to keep our facilities safe and clean for all of our customers,” said Airport General Manager John Selden. “This ACI Airport Health Accreditation is a testament to our commitment to safety and I am incredibly proud of our team.”

“I am very proud that ATL has earned this accreditation,” said Steve Mayers, director of Customer Experience and ADA/Title VI coordinator. “Our customers and employees now have one more reason to travel through and work stress-free at our Airport.”
