Hartsfield-Jackson Looking for Development Partner in Cargo Ultimate Project
New RFP seeks a proponent for new Air Cargo Terminal Facility
ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) announced today the release of a new Request for Proposals (RFP) for its ultimate project aimed at promoting trade and cargo growth. This RFP seeks a proponent to partner with the Airport to design, plan, finance, construct, maintain, market, operate and lease a Modern Air Cargo Terminal Facility located on Sullivan Road, College Park, Georgia, 30320.
The designated space is located in ATL’s South Cargo area. Proponents should explore various sustainable models including, but not limited to, subleasing to one or more tenants that will provide cargo handling services to airline customers. Alternatively, they may allow airlines to self-handle.
The project’s scope includes a mix of enabling work and a mandate to build on mostly greenfield airport land, a state-of-the-art cargo facility with airside access, and excellent coordination for landside access, parking and related facilities. The key is not only the physical infrastructure, but the marriage of underlying digital and technology innovations that will make the Airport an even greater natural attraction to air freight movements for the regional aviation-reliant industries.
