Hartsfield-Jackson to Host Annual Bring Your Child to Work Day Children to tour Delta Flight Museum, air traffic control tower and more   

ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) officials on Tuesday, May 1 will host its annual Bring Your Child to Work Day, where employees can bring up to four of their children ages 6-17 years old. Nearly 150 youngsters will participate in behind-the-scenes Airport tours, learn about careers in the aviation industry, and spend time learning about their parent’s role within the Department of Aviation.

 

The youth will be divided into three age groups: Propellers (ages 6-9), Aviators (ages 10-13) and Jet Setters (ages 14-17)

                                       8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. General Session (Welcome)

                                       9:30 a.m. – 3:30 a.m. Depart for Tours, which include:

(Propellers visit ATL’s Centralized Command & Control Center)

(Aviators tour Atlanta Police Department Bomb Unit and see K9 demonstration)

(Jet Setters tour Delta Air Lines’ Flight Training Center and air traffic control tower)
