Hartsfield-Jackson Calls Attention to Human Trafficking Awareness Month Events will inform and educate ATL stakeholders about human trafficking enforcement efforts

ATLANTA – Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms will join Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) officials to mark Human Trafficking Awareness Month Monday, Jan. 29. The press event will inform the public about the dangers of — and toll from — human trafficking. The press conference will also allow City of Atlanta, state, and federal leaders the opportunity to discuss their ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking.

National Human Trafficking Awareness Month was established by presidential decree in 2010 and has contributed to the fight against human trafficking in the United States. This press event marks the first of a yearlong series of events the world’s busiest airport will host to increase public awareness. Additional information will be provided at Monday’s press conference.
