Hartsfield-Jackson Diversifying Business—Past, Present and Future

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport hosts ATLNext Industry Day

ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is hosting its fourth annual ATLNext Industry Day on March 5 at the Georgia International Convention Center. The daylong conference aims to educate hundreds of small, minority and women-owned businesses about how to do business with the world’s busiest and most efficient passenger airport. This year, more than 450 attendees are expected to participate.

“With this program, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport strives to help minority businesses compete,” said ATL’s Business Diversity Director Valerie Nesbitt. “The work we do allows us to be a model for the rest of the country as more and more airports focus on the importance of diversity.”

“ATLNext is an essential ‘know-how’ afforded to incoming contractors,” said Henrietta Kisseih of Kissberg Construction. “The program has been vital to my continued progress and placed me on the map as a female-owned business at the busiest and most efficient in the world.”

This year, ATL will host the inaugural Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Legacy Awards Luncheon themed, “Treasuring the Past, Honoring the Present, Shaping the Future.” The ceremony will honor the achievement and outstanding performances of contractors, subcontractors, consultants and City of Atlanta employees.
