Hartsfield-Jackson Receives Virtual Training Excellence Award
ATL praised for its all-virtual training during the pandemic
ATLANTA –Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) recently earned the 2020 Airport News and Training Network (ANTN) Digicast Excellence in Airport Training Award. Awarded by the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), it signifies that ATL employees and contractors have completed a specified amount of airport-specific training and continuing education using ANTN Digicast’s web-based training system.
“As we constantly work to ensure Hartsfield-Jackson is safe, efficient and sustainable in all aspects of the organization, we thank the American Association of Airport Executives for recognizing ATL with the 2020 Airport News and Training Network (ANTN) Digicast Excellence in Airport Training Award,” said Interim Airport General Manager Balram Bheodari.
“This recognition represents the hard work of our entire airport team who strive to deliver the best possible experience for our passengers every day.”
In an effort to promote all-virtual instruction for ATL employees and contractors, the Airport began its Digicast subscription in June 2020. The federally mandated training and continuing education includes operations, Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF), security, customer service and other recurrent training. ANTN Digicast training is designed for Airport employees and tenants, such as airline workers and subcontractors who work on-site. Airports that subscribe to ANTN Digicast have unlimited access to the service’s 300-plus training programs.
