Hartsfield-Jackson Named the World’s Busiest Airport

ATL tops list with 93.7 million passengers in 2022

 

ATLANTA Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) has once again been named the world's busiest airport by the Airports Council International (ACI.) In 2022, ATL served more passengers and conducted more aircraft movements than any other airport in the world.

ACI released their world airport rankings Wednesday, April 5, based on the preliminary compilation of their World Airport Traffic Dataset. ATL retained its title as busiest airport with 93.7 million passengers passing through the Airport in 2022, an increase of 23.8 percent from 2021.
