Hartsfield-Jackson Helps Launch Read-A-Thon
ATL, Page Turners Make Great Learners partner for elementary school reading program
ATLANTA – Understanding that today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), in partnership with Page Turners Make Great Learners, launched the Reading on the Fly Read-A-Thon.
During this community outreach initiative, more than 30 ATL employees volunteered to read to students at three metro elementary schools as part of the Reading On The Fly Read-A-Thon campaign conducted by Page Turners Make Great Learners. Top readers and students who showed the most improvement were awarded prizes, including $50 gift cards from ReachTV, backpacks from Signature Flight Support, and meal coupons from Chick-fil-A.
ATL volunteers read to students at The Main Street Academy in College Park, Humphries Elementary School in Atlanta, and Jewell Anderson Elementary School in Conley. A photo gallery for the event can be found here.
