Hartsfield-Jackson Prepares for Busy Memorial Day and Summer Travel
2.5 million passengers are expected to travel through ATL during spring holiday period
ATLANTA – In preparation for Memorial Day weekend and the start of the summer travel season, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) officials and aviation industry officials will host a summer travel press conference on Tuesday, May 14. Officials will discuss preparations and provide tips to passengers to better navigate air travel during the busy holiday travel period Wednesday, May 22 through Wednesday, May 29.
Officials from ATL, the Atlanta Police Department (APD), the American Automobile Association (AAA), and Transportation Security Administration (TSA), will address holiday-related topics such as safety and security, passenger forecast and timesaving tips for passengers traveling through ATL.
