Hartsfield-Jackson Wins Best Commercial Team Award
Award presented at 2025 Airport Experience Conference
ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is proud to announce that its Commercial team has been honored with the prestigious "Best Commercial Team Award" in the Large Airport Category at the 2025 Airport Experience Conference (AXC). This esteemed award recognizes the exceptional collective efforts and talents of ATL’s commercial staff, culminating in a best-in-class airport program.
This recognition highlights the transformational success of ATL’s concessions program over the past two years. The award reflects the visionary leadership of Chief Revenue Officer Tyronia Smith and Sr.
Director of Concessions Scott Knight, whose strategic direction has propelled the program to new heights.
Under their guidance, the concessions program has redefined the guest experience at ATL through several key initiatives:
Strategic Redevelopment: A comprehensive and strategic redevelopment of retail and dining spaces has introduced a diverse and modern array of offerings for travelers. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: A strong and unwavering focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion has significantly increased business participation from local and underrepresented entrepreneurs. Next Level ATL Implementation: The successful implementation of the Next Level ATL strategy – with its emphasis on performance, modernization and “opening-day fresh” standards—has elevated the quality and efficiency of the concessions program.
These actions have delivered measurable and significant growth in passenger engagement, commercial revenue, and the integration of local and small businesses within the airport ecosystem. As a result, ATL’s commercial program now serves as a national model for innovation and excellence in airport concessions.
