Hartsfield-Jackson Prepares for Winter Weather
Airport prepares for anticipated wintry mix of rain, sleet, and freezing rain
ATLANTA – Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is preparing for this weekend’s winter weather event. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a wintry mix of rain, sleet, and freezing rain is possible from Saturday afternoon, Jan. 24, through Monday morning, Jan. 26. A media briefing on ATL’s preparation for the potential winter storm will be held Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m., at the South Deicing Complex.
