Opportunities of engagement for visiting convention groups

About

The Department of Aviation will allow convention groups the opportunity to display welcome messages in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
This service is offered to groups that welcome 500 or more conventioneers to the Airport.
Requests must be submitted in writing at least 30 days prior to group’s arrival and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Digital

Baggage Information Displays

Digital messages uploaded to two flat panel video monitors located at each baggage carousel. Content should include event date, time, location and website.

Concourse F Kiosks

Digital messages uploaded to eight (8) digital panels located in the atrium of the International Terminal.

Digital banner uploaded to the screen in Zone 4 at the top of the escalators heading to Baggage Claim. See below for reference.

Navigation Support

The Landside Operations division provides customer service representatives to assist conventioneers with directional support upon arrival to Hartsfield-Jackson during groups’ peak arrival days. With approval from DOA, groups are permitted to have representatives from their organization greet passengers upon arrival.

Volunteer / Greeter Staging

Convention groups that choose to have volunteer greeters at the Airport are required to provide a list of names of the individuals and work schedule 14 business days prior to group’s arrival. In addition, volunteers should wear coordinated attire, e.g. logo T-shirts, hats or lanyards.
Approved areas:
  • West Crossover (main exit from the Airport’s Transportation Mall)
  • Terminal North Lower Level – American Airlines Baggage Claim
  • Arrivals Level (International Terminal)

Transit

Shuttle Staging

The staging area requires prior approval from the Operations division. Vehicles must be licensed and permitted by the Ground Transportation division.

MARTA

MARTA’s rail station is located inside the Airport’s Domestic Terminal and can be easily accessed by arriving conventioneers.

Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has a welcome center located near Baggage Claim. Please contact ACVB directly to leverage additional welcome opportunities available through their organization.

Submissions

All artwork should be designed to the specifications listed for each component.

Artwork must be approved by the Department of Aviation prior to production and installation. The event hosts will incur costs associated with print and/or production of materials.
